What was the name of the British archaeologist who, in 1922,
discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt?
- Heinrich Schieman
- James Breasted
- William Albright
- The discovery of this tomb delighted archaeologists. The majority of
Egyptian tombs were robbed thousands of years ago. The tomb of King Tut
remained unopened until 1922. It was claimed that a curse would fall on
those involved in uncovering the tomb, and many did die under mysterious
circumstances in the years following the discovery.
