There are several ghosts in the Harry Potter books. Peeves is a ghost that throws things around and moves things. What do we call this kind of ghost?

Correct answer:

  • Poltergeist

Incorrect answers:
  • Banshee
  • Zombie
  • Kelpie

Interesting Info:
  • Poltergeist comes from two old German words meaning "to make noises" and "ghost". Poltergeists make noises and make things move about. They aren't usually seen, but in the books Peeves does occasionally appear. The Bloody Baron, who is the Slytherin ghost, is the only one whom Peeves fears.
